Apparently this is the way it’s done!

…and so what do you think Tom and Sylvain might have been discussing behind Fabian’s back?

It’s good to see Specialized had a sense of humour about last year’s Paris-Roubaix win by Cancellara, either that or they don’t have very good security in their R&D lab.

I like this poll, kinda sums up my thoughts on who is going to win Flanders. But who’s your tip?

The moment the 2010 Paris-roubiax was won and lost.

Hey Tom, you’d better start paying attention to that big guy in the red jersey with the big white cross on it. Sure you might be thirsty and all but I’m tipping he doesn’t care!

I just finished watching a replay of the 2010 Paris-Roubaix, who seriously attacks solo 48km from home and ends up winning by a couple of minutes?  The man with the motor, the biggest motor of all, Fabian Cancellara, that’d be who.

What I think is cool about this is the fact that just like you and me, Fabian Cancellara keeps a mental note of his quickest speeds! :)

If he can push out 81.5kmh on the flat I can only imagine what his top downhill speed might be?

The three monkeys? hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil?  Well, not quite but good enough in my book…

OK, I’m not a Pozzato fan after the Simeoni Armstrong affair but, looking at this picture, I’m asking myself “have I ever seen a photo quite as cool as this in my entire fat life?”. The answer I am thinking of is “perhaps just once, when Deano was in full rainbow body suit on his Scott mountain bike.”.

Yep, you have the right to look smug whenever you please. After the 2010 season you’ve earned that right.

Watch Fabian Cancellara assert his dominance over Tom Boonen in the 2010 Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders) up the Muur van Geraardsbergen/Bosberg.

It is exactly the attainability, which differentiates a dream from a goal: Goals are reachable, when you fight for them. Dreams are not. Athletes shouldn’t dream, but set goals for themselves and fight for them.
Fabian Cancellara

I’ve learnt many things in my life and one of those is that the cyclist with the motor on his back will usually win.

So, the big man is off to the Luxembourg Pro Cycling Project then? I still think that this is the view of Cancellara that most of the peloton will continue to see.

#2010WORLDS #prowatch Fabian Cancellara in the second group on the road during the final laps of the 2010 Worlds in Geelong.  2010 was not going to be his year in the road race.

I’ve just been rewatching the 2010 Paris-Roubaix and was thinking about how good Fabian Cancellara was in that race.  When he went, he really went.. never to be seen again!

Tom Boonen really didn’t look too happy at the time about it either.
